THERE IS AN OCEAN

There is an iron ocean, and in
This ocean are steely swimming fish,
And above these fish hangs a galvanized sky,
And across this sky wires exhaust
Of filigreed planes which slag between
Two cities where we live, two cities
Bolted to either burled coast
Of the ocean. Beyond the sky
A bivalent forge comes apart.
